Many folks love and appreciate giving and receiving handmade gifts, but finding the time to make them during the holiday season can be difficult. So head to a local craft fair for your holiday gift needs instead of adding frustration by getting messy with a DIY project. From high school fundraisers to juried Christmas markets, here are five holiday Craft shows in Northern Kentucky to visit for your shopping.
Dixie Band Holiday Craft Fair
High schools put on several craft fairs in Northern Kentucky, and the Dixie Band Holiday Craft Fair falls into that category. Plan the date of December 11th between the hours of 9 am and 2 pm to cross folks off your gift-giving list. Everything goes to support the Dixie Heights Marching Colonels, and they will have crafters, baked goods, and a silent auction to raise funds.
Greater Cincinnati Winterfair
For an all-in-one shopping experience, head to the Greater Cincinnati Winterfair. It’s a juried craft show with over 200 artisans selling their wares indoors. Head to the Northern Kentucky Convention Center in Covington on Thanksgiving weekend, where the event is open from Friday through Sunday. Admission is $7 per person, and bring the whole family because kids 12 and under are free! This Northern Kentucky holiday market has jewelry, sculpture, paintings, ceramics, glass, and other mediums available. There is also a section just for things crafted in Kentucky, and you can grab a bite to eat while you’re there.
2nd Annual Craft & Vendor Fair
Head to The View Event Center in Williamstown for their 2nd Annual Craft & Vendor Fair. This event takes place from 9 am-2 pm on Saturday, December 4th, and features local artisans, crafters, and vendors. Take your holiday gift list so that you can cross lots of folks off of your list! We’re happy that this small but mighty show is returning this year as one of the best craft shows in Northern Kentucky!
Ryle Craft Show
Save the dates of November 19th and 20th to attend the PTSA at Ryle High School Craft Show. It’s one of the largest shows in the region and features over 170 different crafters from all over the United States. This event is also a fundraiser as the proceeds go towards student programs and scholarships. So the vendor booth and entry fees go to a fabulous cause! Although there are many vendors, some favorite items at this Northern Kentucky holiday market include photography, jewelry, floral arrangements, woodcrafts, sculpture, candles, artwork, soaps, lotions, fudge, and lots of other handmade items. The show runs on Friday from 7 pm-10 pm, and Saturday from 9 am-3 pm.
Cincinnati is so close to Northern Kentucky that it would be a shame if you missed one of the best Christmas markets. Lumaze has a fabulous light display, live shows, a train for the kiddos to ride, and food. However, one of the best parts is the holiday mini market, filled with local vendors. So not only can you shop for everyone on your list, but you can take the whole family along to experience the wonder of Christmas at Lumaze. Plan an entire day to spend at this fun festival in Cincinnati.
If you’re looking for craft shows in Northern Kentucky or near the greater Cincinnati area, Lumaze is definitely your best choice!
