Best Christmas Indoor Activities in Cincinnati in 2021

One of the most enjoyable parts of the holidays is gathering with friends and family. Some folks enjoy their annual office party and others can’t wait until the holiday cookie exchange. No matter your ideal gathering, consider taking your fun on the road this year! Collect your group and head to one of the many Christmas indoor activities in Cincinnati, however, remember to keep safety and social distancing in mind.

Lumaze Christmas Light Festival & Market

New to the city this year, Lumaze is one of the most fun indoor activities in Cincinnati. The festival truly has something for everyone, so you can take your whole family.

A whole host of activities await —children’s areas, winter market vendors, hanging light displays, and more— it’s a full-day event! Get everybody together for meals or to see one of the live shows. Also, explore the sections that come with this year’s theme, Glow Around the World, and see a Taj Mahal made of lights! Lumaze is also making everyone’s safety a priority so that you can attend with peace of mind.

Holiday Pops at the Cincinnati Symphony

Going to see a show is an excellent group activity, even for the little ones. Folks look forward to the annual Holiday Pops show, filled with music, laughter, and the Christmas spirit.

The Music Hall is also bursting with holiday decor to further the festivities. Plan to go to a show from December 4-6, although the 2 pm Sunday matinee may be best for the little ones. Other performances are at 7:30 pm, which makes a fun evening out for the gang.

A Magical Cirque Christmas

If seeing the word “cirque” thrills you, rest assured that this show has all the acrobatics and wonders these performances are known for. Act quickly —especially for group seating— as there is only one showing at 7:30 pm on December 11th.

A Magical Cirque Christmas is one of the best indoor activities for kids in Cincinnati. Imagine the looks on the faces of your little ones as they see cirque artists and performers. The event also features holiday music for an even merrier family experience.

If you’d like to rent a van (they allow up to 12 passengers), be aware that the maximum height is 10”. Enjoy driving through various sections of lights, including a Hanukkah celebration, the Candy Cane Forest, and a replica of Bethelem.

The little ones will also get excited about getting a peek into Santa’s Workshop along the way. Prices are $20 per carload on weekdays and $25 on Friday through Sunday.
