One of the wonders of Christmas for children is Santa. Setting out cookies on Christmas Eve and seeing presents appear on Christmas morning is all a part of the season for those with little kids. But, even if you don’t include Santa in your gift-giving, he’s still a jolly man that children enjoy seeing throughout the holiday season. There are several places to get a glimpse of the guy in the red suit, and here is where to see Santa in Northern Kentucky.
Light Up the Levee
If you want to see Santa arrive by helicopter, head to Light Up the Levee in Newport, Kentucky. This is one day only — Saturday, November 20th from 12 to 7 pm — so don’t miss it! However, if you can’t make it then, Santa will be on-site at Santa’s House on the Levee from November 21st through December 23rd. Be prepared to spend $40 to spend 10 minutes with the big guy, although you’ll receive images from your time with Santa, which makes it the perfect holiday treasure!
Southern Lights Holiday Festival
Although the main focus is a massive display of twinkling bulbs, the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation’s Southern Lights Holiday Festival has a lot to offer once you finish your light tour. Their Holiday Village features train rides, a train display, a gift shop, animals, and — of course — an opportunity for the littles to have time with Santa. Heading to this festival will delight family members of all ages.
Scuba Santa’s Water Wonderland
For a once-in-a-lifetime memory, see Scuba Santa at the Newport Aquarium. Kids can let the big guy know all of their holiday secrets while he swims with sharks. Don’t worry, as your children will be safe on the outside of the aquarium enclosure. In the end, kids will receive one of Santa’s favorite treats — a cookie! Chatting with the guy in the red suit while he’s underwater is one of the most memorable ways to see Santa in Northern Kentucky. There are several dates and times available throughout November and December, but be sure to book soon.
Santa at Florence Mall
Seeing Santa Claus in Florence, Kentucky, is really easy, especially if you head to see him at the Florence Mall. Children can have their photos taken with Santa, and the mall is also giving away $400 worth of photo packages with the big guy. Just head to their Facebook page to learn more. Also, if you love a good theme, there are several themed nights with Santa, such as ugly sweater, princess and superhero, pajama party, and squad night. They even welcome pet pictures with Santa, but they also suggest booking to secure a spot ahead of time.
Movie Night on the Levee
Want to see Santa but not necessarily tell him your gift list or grab a photo? Head to a movie night that features Saint Nick. Movie Night on the Levee has several holiday movies throughout December, such as Elf, Polar Express, The Santa Clause, and the 2018 version of The Grinch. So grab the kiddos, bring blankets and chairs, and watch Santa in a film on the big screen. What a fun way to see Santa in Northern Kentucky!
Lumaze is still the number one place to find Santa in Northern Kentucky and the whole greater Cincinnati area. Along with princesses, fairytale characters, and marvelous light sculptures inspired by different world cultures, Santa will be at Lumaze to bring joy to every child.
Lumaze is the most incredible Christmas light display in North America and this year it arrives in Cincinnati to dazzle and attract people from all over Ohio, Southern Indiana, and Northern Kentucky. A safe indoor event to create the most beautiful family memories for Christmas!
